Trigenix expands customisation to Windows Mobile
Posted by3geezer on Monday, March 01 @ 10:45:33 CET
By adding support for Windows Mobile and Java MIDP 2.0, Trigenix reckons their UI can now be added to roughly 50 per cent of all handsets that will be shipping by Q4 2004. The new version is known as T4 (because T3 would sound as if it had something to do with 3G!) and incorporates a number of improvements. Its the software that enabled T-Mobile to build T-Zones, for example.
By adding support for Windows Mobile and Java MIDP 2.0, Trigenix' CEO, Steve Ives, reckons his company's UI can now be added to roughly 50 per cent of all handsets that will be shipping by Q4 2004. The new version is known as T4 because T3 would sound as if he had something to do with 3G. Trigenix took last year's Best Wireless Application Developer at Cannes, and T4 incorporates a number of improvements. Its the software that enabled T-Mobile to build T-Zones, for example. The major benefit with this version, however, is that an operator can create its own branded and customised UI that will work across Symbian, Windows Mobile and Java with absolutely no need for reformatting.
